I'm not new to Newrounds, but I am new at submitting art here, and I'm amazed at how many "serious" artists there are. These are people who think they are the next Picasso and have this "I'm superior" attitude. Yeah, sure their work is good, but that doesn't make them Jesus of the paint!
I'm serious enough about my work (small as it may be) to post it here and let people see it, but I refuse to have an attitude about it. I think I'm pretty decent, but that's it. If someone thinks I'm good, yay, but otherwise I just don't feel like honking my own horn! (unless it's my LOWER horn... honk, honk!)
I also can't stand people who do a work and say something to the effect of "this shows the emptiness I feel inside that burns my soul into a twisted husk!" Ok, fine, but does a picture of a puppy REALLY convey that? I'm all for expressing yourself through art, but DAMN PEOPLE!!
Anyway, ranting over. I just felt like I had to get that off my chest. Good day and don't forget to check out my stuff!
